This weeks guest is Monté Burrow -- An HBCU graduate (Morgan State University) and seasoned leader with nearly 2 decades of beverage alcohol industry experience.
Monté’s introduction to the alcohol world emanated while at Morgan State when Anheuser-Busch came on campus to recruit for an 8-month co-op opportunity at their headquarters in St. Louis, MO. He would later go on to found a boutique Experiential Marketing & Promotions company, partnering with behemoth brands such as Martell and Crown Royal. A dual threat (Engineering & Marketing), he would go on to spend 12 years at Diageo, the world’s largest alcohol company working leadership roles on all sides of the bottle from Production and Operations to Brand Marketing and Innovation.
Monté’s has gone on to co-found Proof Theory (www.prooftheory.co) a holding company for niche brands, and Blackleaf Organic, the first French Organic Vodka on the market (www.blackleafvodka.co). Monté is passionate about creating a legacy for an inclusive community.
